Officially released at the Ardbeg open day during the 2018 Feis Ile. The 2018 limited edition release, this was matured in heavily charred casks (presenting a grooved surface hence the name).
Ardbeg Grooves is described as a "rock-and-roll" whisky that balances heavy peat with sweet red wine undertones.

- Nose: Powerful and medicinal with smoked spices (cinnamon, paprika), aromatic herbs, seaweed, sea spray, and bonfire aromas. Hints of lavender, antique leather, and caramel/butterscotch are also present.
- Palate: Intense smoke, sea salt, and char immediately hit the palate. This evolves into notes of treacle toffee, vanilla, salted fruits (peaches), soot, tar, and savory BBQ meat notes. The red wine cask influence brings a slight, tangy fruitiness.
- Finish: Long, salty, and warming with lingering woodsmoke, sweet toffee, and a distant bonfire aroma.
