The Bimber "Oval" edition is a highly limited single-cask, single-malt whisky. It pays homage to the London Underground's Oval station and is part of the distillery’s official Spirit of the Underground collection, produced in collaboration with Transport for London.
Bottled at 57.6% ABV, only 307 bottles were ever released from this single Moscatel sherry cask.
This release was included in Release No. 6 of Bimber’s highly collectible Underground series. It perfectly balances the distillery's signature fruit-forward spirit style with the rich, sweet influence of an ex-Moscatel wine cask.
Bimber The Spirit of the Underground - Oval
Nose: Incredibly rich and fruit-forward, opening with syrupy notes of raspberry jam, stewed apricots, and sweet figs. Underlying hints of tobacco, cinnamon, and subtle vegetal undertones create a complex, sweet aroma.
Palate: Thick, syrupy, and mouth-coating. Features luscious sweet flavors like caramel, toffee, and brown sugar, perfectly balanced by a spicy kick of chili pepper, clove, and nutmeg. The finish features deeper notes of dark chocolate and grapefruit.
Finish: Long and warming, leaving lingering notes of peppery spice, tobacco leaves, and sweet, toasted wood
