What happens when an accidental kiln fire alters Laphroaig’s historic distilling process?

You get Elements 3.0—a rare, boundary-pushing Islay single malt born from chaos. By burning the peat hotter and longer than standard production allows, this limited edition strips away the traditional medicinal punch. In its place, you will find a dark, heavily charred, and deeply complex masterpiece.

Bottled at a commanding cask strength of 55.3% ABV and matured entirely in American oak ex-bourbon casks, this non-chill filtered release offers a heavier, richer profile than any standard Laphroaig in your collection. It is a must-have bottle for peat purists and collectors alike.

  • Nose, Powerful aromas of smoldering charcoal, bitter dark chocolate, and maritime brine. This is balanced by sweeter notes of vanilla, lemon zest, butterscotch, and dark fruits like plums and dates.

Palate, A roaring wave of intense, warming peat, accompanied by roasted coffee and bitter dark cocoa. As the intensity settles, it gives way to tangy fruits (blackberry, gooseberry) and a creamy sweetness.

Finish, Long, dry, and savory. It leaves lingering notes of sea salt, leather, and sooty chimney smoke.
